Serving the Fife Community Since 1948
Pierce County Fire District 10 provides fire protection, emergency medical services, and life safety response to the City of Fife and surrounding unincorporated areas, including Fife Heights.
Each year, firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics respond to approximately 2,600 calls for service — about 80% of which are medical emergencies. Whether the need is a structure fire, vehicle collision, medical emergency, or rescue situation, our priority is timely, professional response.
Regional Partnership, Stronger Service
Pierce County 10 contracts with the Tacoma Fire Department to provide fire and emergency medical services. Through this partnership, the community benefits from expanded resources, including additional personnel, transport-capable ambulances, specialized rescue teams, hazardous materials response, fire prevention services, and investigations.
This model allows the District to deliver a higher level of service while maintaining local oversight and accountability.
Responsible and Transparent
Emergency services in Washington are funded through voter-approved property tax levies for fire protection and emergency medical services. Pierce 10 operates under a balanced budget, carries no debt, and has maintained 25 years of clean state audits.
We are committed to fiscal responsibility, transparency, and providing reliable service to the community we serve.
